該機屬于機械離心式干法再生設備。主要用于鑄造車間樹脂舊砂的再生。其工作原理是自加料口進入的舊砂在重力作用下，落到高速旋轉的拋砂盤所形成的圓柱形區域，和拋砂盤上的葉片發生碰撞的同時，在離心力的作用下作徑向加速運動，最后從葉片端部高速切向拋出，被拋出的砂子和內襯圈強烈撞擊，從而使砂粒表面的情性膜脫落，并和灰分一起經抽風口排出機外，舊砂由此得到再生。
